Membership costs: We endeavor to ensure that it is always free so that no one need ever be isolated because of financial circumstances. However, we do ask those who can afford it to donate £12 (waged) / £6 unwaged each year.

You will then be sent a ‘joining package’ to the address you give below. This will be in a plain sealed envelope. Records will in future be kept on computer. Under the terms of the 1984 Data Protection Act, the FTM Network does not have to register as a data user.

The FTM Network is exempt under Section 33 (2) of the Act which states that unincorporated members clubs that hold data relating only to members are exempt. Exemption only applies if each member has been asked if they object to data being held about them and the member has not objected.

Security of the FTM network files is paramount, and unauthorised access is impossible. Membership information is only available to the co-ordinator (Stephen Whittle) and then only as is required to administer the Network efficiently. Please let me know if you do not wish your details to be kept on a computer database.
